Samantha's goal is to create gallery style artwork pieces to fit in with any art collection or home décor. We have a selection of mediums available including photographic papers, canvas, archival watercolour papers and exquisite handmade albums, each one being a true original artwork.
We like to shoot you in an environment that you feel most comfortable. That might be in the studio, in your favourite park or even in your own home. Contact us for more information about sitting fees, inclusions, print collection pricing or even a quote custom made just for you.
We are passionate about what we do and we consider every portrait session to be individual and unique. We want you to always treasure the artwork that JettyBlue creates for you. Here's some more information to help you get the most out of your portrait experience.
Before the Shoot
Your experience with JettyBlue Photography is a journey of 3 steps:
- Studio consultation
- Portrait shoot
- Viewing & ordering session
Our complimentary studio consultation (approx. 30mins), held at our studio, gives you the opportunity to show us the kind of images you'd love to see on your wall. This way we get to know each other and we can be sure to create the kind of images you want so you will treasure your artworks always.
On the day - What to bring
Please bring 1-2 changes of clothing for everybody - this is in case clothes get dirty, or as an alternative that the photographer can advise on the day.
This is an opportunity to dress your children to look as cute and beautiful as they can, or you are welcome to choose a simple casual look. Some people like to take the opportunity to do both.
Try to avoid patterns/logos & stripes or bright colours - so your clothes don't attract more attention than your faces and your photos don't date over time.
White or black is fine if all participants are in the same with a combination of denim or beige. For large family groups where there are a number of groups within the group, a nice idea is for each family unit to wear a uniform colour on top and then a different uniform colour worn on the bottom that unites the entire group.
Hats, necklaces, scarves and accessories (including pets!) can look fantastic in photos, so please feel free to bring these along with you.
Please also bring a snack for children, drink and one or two of your children's favourite toys (preferably noisy ones - something that will get their attention quickly). For very small children, a favourite grandparent can be invaluable when it comes to getting those special smiles and helping gain baby's attention when mum and dad are in the shot also.
What if I think I don't look good in photos?
Don't worry, we all have THOSE moments! Samantha's talent lies in her down to earth approach - making even the most camera shy adult or child comfortable in front of the camera. Samantha's warmth puts her clients at ease, leaving them free to relax and enjoy the experience. After all, it's not something you do every day and the shoot itself should be a special occasion.
Samantha's experience with people & lighting techniques means she can find everyone's best angles.
With two children of my own, I get that newborns certainly have their own agenda! Sessions take upto 2 hours taking into account feeding and settling time. You are welcome to come to my studio in Como, but I find the best place for your bub's first portrait is in the place Mum feels most comfortable – at home.
The best time to schedule your newborn session is during your pregnancy, we pencil in your due date to my calendar and book ahead of time. A few days after the arrival of your bub, give me a call to finalise your session date at a time that is convenient to you and your new baby (usually in the mornings). If you happen to stumble across our site after your baby is born we would still love to photograph your new little bundle.
Your newborn session should take place within the first 10 days of baby's life. Why this early? After about 2 weeks of age our little newborns loose their womb-like behavior, we want them curly, comfy and ready for some sleepy time! That being said I have photographed many babies after the first few weeks of life and the results have also been amazing!

Graduating high school is a significant time in a young person's life and is worthy of documenting in one of our
I was approached early 2013 by a friend, who at the time was studying her HSC, to take some killer shots of her and her friends so they all had a professional momento of this time in their lives. It was a Eureka moment for me and lead me to create a - a senior student portrait session.
Unlike the images taken at the entrance to the end of year formal, the One2Blue experience focuses on the personality of the student, so styling is a must. We work together to select a cool location and professional makeup is also a part of your shoot experience. The shoot can take place anytime during their final year so that the student has a fun and unique portrait to use for all those important things that happen later that year – university applications, job applications, yearbook photos, Facebook profile shots and not to mention a beautifully crafted momento for Mum & Dad's home.
A Senior Student Portrait photoshoot is a great way to capture the unique personality of the student and it's a win win for both student and parents. The student gets the chance to do something fun and play model for a day which is a huge boost to their confidence and the parents are rewarded with beautiful timeless portraits of their child.
Each year we also take on a limited number of Ambassadors to act as representatives and spread the word throughout their school and activities outside of school – we offer great incentives to our ambassadors –
